It is true that for us this first day of an Earthly year does not mean anything. These are human and quite erroneous points of reference, as we have said regarding the Christian chronology.

"These details do not matter; advancing in a spiritual way gives you a less narrow view of things. We hope for you that the main thing is not in these excessive celebrations. The goal to be reached must be your main objective. It is not limited to one life only. In this one you really become aware of its importance and you do what is necessary to get there.

"While advancing, you'll grow away from futile things, your tastes will change and you will react differently in many circumstances. You will then be able to measure the progress made and this fact will be more important than celebrating the year 2000.

"Be joyful with your dear ones – laugh and sing if so you want – but this joy should also relate to the fact that the passing time brings you closer to the holy door.
