Human beings are disconcerting, they are very difficult to satisfy. You all can make this assessment by observing your reactions as well as those of others. Even if you were offered the Garden of Eden the Christian imagery has described to you all, in your eyes, something important would be missing. This feature is characteristic of the human personality.
Humans continually feel a state of lack, and this is verified at every level. From the cradle, where its cries express its hunger or discomfort, the new-born baby already has demands. Throughout its life, this dissatisfaction will accompany it.
No matter whether they are aware of it or not, this aspect is a determining factor for them; it is what leads them to action. They must act, it is a question of survival, and they must go ahead until the end of their lives.
Can they find happiness according to their aspirations? They can't really, as they don't have the necessary dimension to attain bliss.
The divine nature within human beings yearns for perfection, hence the perpetual dissatisfaction that they manifest and that determines their behaviour.
You who are all on a spiritual quest, you should understand your inner self's aspiration to be delighted. This process appeases you; you are no longer racked with superfluous desires. All that remains for you is to manage the constraint an incarnation
in a body of flesh implies, along with its natural needs. The slavery of the senses is reduced as one advances in the right direction.
Attaining the blissful state of non-desire seems impossible to human beings. They must achieve a very high level of wisdom to reach that stage.
