Offering oneself to divine service is praiseworthy and gives the individual the opportunity to grow. Where better than in this world can one do it? Each day human beings are offered choices, some of which are determining for the rest of their lives. In what state of mind do they decide, do they seek answers within themselves? It is all connected on this level.

For them, the quest is long and difficult, and becoming aware of the need to be refined is a promising start. They are confronted with tendencies that resist their efforts. Nothing in this area, any more than anywhere else, is easy for them. To start a spiritual process is to engage in the right direction and to get stronger in relation to one's own nature, which stands as an obstacle to one's progress.

That is the law in this world; none can escape this challenge, from which the new being will emerge, if it is truly desired, by applying oneself to it with rigour. Nothing is easy in this world, any more than it is elsewhere; therefore it is better to devote oneself, from this life onwards, to striving towards perfection.

Perfection is at the end of the path, and it cannot be obtained easily. Purification equals suffering, physical or moral; it's inevitable, whether wanted or unwanted. Human beings are alone in the face of their destinies. A serious spiritual process makes them enter a vibratory spiral likely to propel them out of their limited capabilities. The

assistance of a high-level Master remains decisive for them; the onus is on them to make the right choice by relying on Providence.
