How could your states of mind not influence these messages? They are addressed to human beings, to our aspirants, who are all caught up in the tide of life and undergo its many fluctuations. By taking into account your sufferings, your worries, we are also thinking of all our brothers and sisters, and we want to help them through these writings. Compassion is not an empty word, and we didn't discover it; without it, the human race would be of the worst kind. It is sorely lacking in this world, but many practise it as best they can, and we encourage our practitioners not to neglect this aspect of their spirituality; this is essential.

In a quest of this kind, everything is connected. An egoistic approach, aimed only at one's own salvation, would be singularly lacking in greatness. Taking into account one's fellow creatures is the least one can do. All are brothers and sisters, and they forget it, not having yet integrated the need for unity in the face of divine power. Human beings believe themselves the most evolved among the creatures populating this Earth; they show it in a curious way by not respecting what surrounds them. To engage in a spiritual process is also to participate, in a positive and responsible manner, in a system of life from which no one can escape. Everyone in this world has obligations with regard to their lives and all that surrounds them. All our brothers and sisters are advancing

as well as they can; may they become truly aware of the role they have to play on this Earth, under our blessings.
