Always look towards the future, seeing it in a positive light whatever is happening in the present. History in general is made up of periods of crisis that occur in all aspects of life; this rule should apply in all circumstances.
More often than not, people are overwhelmed by events they cannot control. They are carried away like wisps of straw and have to resign themselves to enduring them.
What can they do in the face of the great tragedies that can emerge in their lives: death, cataclysms, great social ills or any other personal ordeal? Take action when they can; endure it, most of the time; but pray, always. This reaction will help and inspire them on the behaviour to adopt, and reassure them. Meditating, facing themselves and letting themselves be guided by inspiration, will restore calm in them. They will be better able to seize the opportunities that arise and use them wisely.
Do not fail to help your fellows in such situations. They must face adversity today, tomorrow will perhaps be your turn. Try to be clear-headed, understanding and effective by helping them in any way you can.
It has happened that in trying moments of your life you received unhoped-for assistance and you regarded it as a blessing – try therefore to remember that and act in accordance with your heart.
