The acceptance of suffering as a grace is not easily understood; certain beings carry this heavy burden more than others – such are the laws of karma. Suffering does not indicate that the karma is bad, only that it is necessary in a current incarnation for reasons of its own. It is not easy for humans to admit this necessity. This is all very complex and beyond the comprehension of people in general. It is wise to be accepting. What else can one do? Mystics integrate these notions more easily.
