Human beings sometimes fail to notice what is obvious. A spiritual Master is no exception; he too can be taken in by appearances. This is due to his human nature. So must it be to better conceal the greatness that dwells in him. The latter emanates from another universe, where ugliness does not rage as it does on Earth. Illuminated at times, a divine being does his best to distinguish the truth from the jumble of confusion that is materiality.

The greatness of a Master is revealed there, where and when it is necessary. So will it be for my son. Nothing is easy in this world, as we have already said; human behaviour will always surprise us. As for our abhyasis' behaviour, it never ceases to amaze us. Spirituality is unfortunately not immune to negative tendencies. We emphasised it in a recent message: 'Were all the saints truly saints?' That is why, under the circumstances, the choice to be made by my son is so complex.

He will make the right choice, for which we are inspiring him. He should open his eyes and ears. In some people, pride is concealed under the best aspects. This period of reflection is necessary for my dear son. May our love carry him, reassure him and, most of all, enlighten him.
