You have the recourse of faith, of this sublime Presence in you. My child, nothing should divert you from it. Man needs to be constantly reassured. In spite of himself, he lets himself be taken by the game of life and its inevitable annoyances. The strongest do not escape it; to distance oneself in all circumstances is a commendable strength. How could we not address the issue time and again, since it is man's permanent enemy!

"To advance in a spiritual process is to also inure oneself to all that can destabilise man. In the heart of the being is peace and harmony; there is the goal to be reached. Achieving this is not insurmountable.

"To find the right balance in oneself is to advance in wisdom. To achieve a masterpiece, one needs to review one's work so many times. In this area more than anywhere else, the work is subtle, and amateurishness is not enough. Each one of our brothers advances at his own pace. The Master's work motivates each of theirs, which is also true the other way round. One day, after having gone from battle to battle, the divine goal will be reached.

"All this speech is not useless. Our brothers should not lose heart: nothing is obtained easily, and they know it. Our remarks can seem simplistic to them, but everything hinges precisely on this simplicity. Our way offers a means of progressing. It is up to all our aspirants to understand this and to do their work; it is essential in this matter. Some make minimal effort: they expect a miracle and when it does not occur, they go elsewhere to seek what they cannot easily achieve.
