My dear daughter, you have made significant strides towards your Master, and that is well. Your [respective] prerogatives are of course very different, but you both have the best place in my heart. You are two sensitive, passionate and loving souls, and you manage to touch mine.

"You are determined and carry on through your struggles. Serving means to have the courage of a warrior who gets all of his strength from God. Courage is necessary throughout one's life, even in very simple acts.

"Getting involved in service requires a great deal of perseverance; giving up is equivalent to disowning oneself and not trusting God and one's Master, as far as our Mission is concerned. Some of our brothers have deserted, sometimes after years of service; these facts sadden us, but there is nothing we can do about it. Their spell in our way was a determining factor for them and will be acknowledged, inasmuch as they served with sincerity and courage. We compel no one. The heart of an aspirant does not choose in these circumstances; it is generally constrained since the ego is stronger.

"Let us see only these beings who advance and whose number is growing. They trust us and will not regret it. They chose according to their heart and their deeper aspiration to rise above a disappointing material world that does not provide them with the satisfactions they expect from life.
