Be centred in the heart of silence, detached from worries and disturbing emotions. Cut yourself off from the turbulences of life; they are nothing but wind making the wheel of life spin round. The central axis of this wheel does not move; it remains in its point of gravity. Immutable is the higher being. What do the adventures of a momentary existence mean to him? The successive incarnations partake of this unstoppable cycle of evolution. Be detached more and more from the world. Do what you have to, in the best way possible, while letting yourself be guided by the heart; it is a sure friend. Emotions are bad counsellors. The voice of wisdom is inside you; it must prevail over them. Don't let yourself be enmeshed in the nets of illusion that characterise this world. Take refuge in this holy place; there, you find peace.

"Remain attached to this 'condition', unassailable and sovereign, which sadhana creates in you. My child, this speech you know, but it is good when need arises to point it out to you. You know where the only and true refuge is. Let yourself be won over by the Immutable calmness, and thank God for having brought you on to the sacred banks."
