There is no such thing as perfection in this world. Making efforts to attain it is very commendable. Knowing oneself well is important to better pinpoint the weak points that are an obstacle to one's progress. By recognising one's weaknesses, it is easier to track them down, and the aspiration to rise up is therefore only stronger.

"The most clear-sighted man seeks to sail while avoiding the pitfalls. He remains prudent, while trying not to be caught by anything, and he manages things skilfully.

"This search towards good is commendable; it strengthens the inner self and facilitates its evolution. By so doing, he opens secret doors that lead him to stages where he can take stock and better run his life. Until the end, he will be facing this dilemma: did I make a success of my life? Did I take the right direction and make the right choices?

"His questionings can lead him towards a spiritual Master. Henceforth, he knows where he wants to go. This idea strongly prevails in his mind and his real self is satisfied. He can finally put down his luggage and entrust his destiny to the Master he chose. He has faith in him and lets himself be guided. He learns about surrender and feels faith growing in himself – faith in higher authorities to light his life, and towards whom he had not yet bothered to turn."
