My daughter, it is necessary to have a goal in one's life which, until the end, justifies the efforts to be made each day to keep up a line of thought and action which allow one to reach that goal under the best of conditions. Having reached maturity, man becomes selective; the mystic knows where he wants to go and he takes the relevant steps. He leaves behind him youthful dreams which he deemed important and necessary for his happiness. He generally learns from experience how very chimerical they were. Did they come true? If yes, did they make him happy for the remainder of his life? Some beings make do with little; others have big requirements for their personal development, in the framework of a very strong eagerness to be spiritually fulfilled. Where do they stand in their evolutionary cycle? Will this life be determining for them? If so, the circumstances will be such that they will experience those whereby they will understand the opportunity being offered to them to go in the right direction. Each one finds his own way when necessary, i.e., when they are ready to make choices."
