Remember that gentleness is not weakness. Divine love can be conveyed both through extreme harshness and gentleness. These are two different manifestations, yet necessary in certain circumstances.

The life of a Master must set aside excessive sensitivity. Human sentiments are traps. Work which is important must be given priority above all else. To be in the service of the Almighty requires a certain rigour. Serving humanity is a great undertaking; it requires much inner strength.

Not everything can be understood at your level. But rest assured; our work is not destructive in your sense of the word. I am happy to see you changing. You are organizing a monastic life for yourself in order to be receptive to us. You are preparing seriously for your future mission. The rigour you have always shown in your life serves you, and will serve you more and more. To be completely in our service cannot be without a kind of servitude. This has to be accepted; it is one of the conditions. You are growing, my child. You are shedding non-essentials and advancing; you must progress further.
