Your extreme smallness, as you call it, has actually moved us. When a heart offers itself to us without pretensions, it is easy to mould it according to our wishes.
"This attitude is desirable, whatever the path reserved for the incarnate being.
"We always revert to the same criteria: surrender, love, and we will add the absence of desire, which is more difficult for man to admit to. Let us be clear about this aspect: there is a ladder of nuances in the fact of not letting one's life be governed by multiple forms of desire. When he comes towards us, the aspirant has already made his choice. He knows where he wants to go and he imposes on himself some rules likely to help him. He is aware of all that can hinder his step.
"He lets himself be caught up sometimes in the play of illusion, realising very quickly that he is going the wrong way. This ceaseless work strengthens him and opens his eyes to the obstacles that delay his advance. It is up to him to decide, to adjust his pace.
"The objective to be reached does not change. Only the motivated aspirant leaves behind his burdensome loads."
