The wheel of life spins round incessantly, likewise anything subjected to it. "It knows no pause. Some form of rest takes place visibly in nature, in terms of the cycle of seasons whereby it seems to slacken its pace at some periods of the year. Appearances are misleading – the most beautiful summer is being prepared under the cover of this sleep. Its vibratory frequency changes, but it remains active, true to form, though different in the eyes of men. All the living are subjected to the same laws, immutable, unchanged since the beginning of time and probably until the end.

"The human being cannot elude established rules. He can, to some extent, adapt to climate differences, but out of his natural environment, he cannot live a long time.

"His capabilities in this field are very restricted; he has managed to partially break these rules, but he is far from controlling nature. He will still have to resign himself for a very long time to live under these conditions. God is great; the laws governing the universe are subjected to His omnipotence, and man, in this plan, is infinitely small."
