The contraction of the Mission's membership which is taking place in France is not worrying. It results, to a great extent, from a campaign orchestrated by the government and relayed by the media. Our method is not at issue, how could it be so? Ignored as it is by its detractors, misunderstood by some practising members who lack perseverance, how could it be more largely appreciated in a society, which is the exact opposite of methods related to interiorization as well as to an enlightening spiritual life?

"Movement and noise belong to daily life for the majority of the human beings. Man feels the need to escape, fleeing from God knows what, apart from himself, being unable to pause and take stock of his real aspirations. Time will come when his entire environment will collapse. He will not keep on fleeing eternally. His way of life will be upset; he will become powerless in the face of the desert of his existence. Hence, he will perhaps become aware that there is in him another life and that a space of beauty is accessible to him, if he wants to strive towards it. Realizing that he is limited from all sides, as far as his old way of functioning is concerned, perhaps he would have the wisdom to set out again on new bases. That is our best wish for him."
